Mikki Alhart was a commercial and residential interior/exterior designer for seventeen years, followed by twenty one years working as a licensed counselor. The combined education and training is what contributes to her insights and fervor of her artwork today. Given the rare privilege of having a glimpse of others souls and deepest thoughts taught her how to illuminate the beauty of ordinary scenes. That is why her artwork received its title of “Visual Meditations.” Mikki Alhart passionately creates from a very different vantage point than exact realism, in that it is the emotion and song of art that means the most to her.

Her paintings reflect the romance and beauty of nature which inspires the soul. She endlessly is searching to show the tie between her subjects and her heart. The poetry of how she sees the work is what allows her viewers to connect personally with her paintings.
