side of his brain making Art Glass rather than buying it. He has taken courses
in drawing, design, painting, torch working, & fusing. Rich has taken many
glassblowing, fusing, casting, and metalsmithing classes with George Jercich and
Crissa Hewitt, at Cal Poly. He taught Beginning Glass Fusing at Cal Poly in summer
2004. Rich teaches a course "Introduction to Glass Fusing" at Cal Poly
in the summer. He & Kersti built a studio in Arroyo Grande and started the

enjoys working with glass and metal, making objects that other people can enjoy.
The media are very demanding and technical, but the results are rewarding. He
is exploring the color palate, techniques, designs and materials that can be used
with glass and metal. He will continue studying with the goal of improving his
ability to express himself in Art Glass and metal.
