Marne works in graphite, charcoal, and pen and ink to capture her favorite subjects: children, animals, flowers and trees. Marne is also an avid needleworker and enjoys creating quilted and embroidered crafts.

A native Californian, Marne holds a B.A. in comparative literature from the University of California as well as a California teaching credential and a M.A. in Education with an emphasis in Reading and Language Development. She taught elementary school in the public school system before starting an educational technology business with her husband, Fred.

A life-long children's literature enthusiast, Marne strives to create arts and crafts that reflect the curiosity and wonder with which youth perceive the world.
