The rustic stone wall with moss and the hanging grapes added the texture and feel I wanted to capture. This painting was inspired by living on the Central Coast of California which is rapidly becoming the largest concentration of wineries next to Napa Valley.

This painting was inspired by this beautiful winery here on the Central Coast of California called Melville Winery. The architecture resembles that of a Tuscan flair so I used stone to outline this magical place. The vineyards in Santa Barbara County are truly a work of art in and of themselves; the varied patterns, slopes and color just beg to be captured on canvas. |

This painting is part of a series I have been painting the eagle because it is a lifetime symbolic mentor of power, grace and beauty. I have dreamed of flying with eagles since I was a child. I have had numerous, wondrous encounters with eagles in my life, which explains my passion to paint them. This painting has less landscape and scenery so that the eagle can be the main focus. The brilliant colors, rugged mountains and misty morning just add to the majesty of the power and wonder of this regal creature. |

Winter Reflections was inspired by spending a week in the Portland, Oregon area during a snow storm which surpassed record breaking data for the last forty years. The cold, rugged beauty of winter is captured in this whimsical painting. Blue is a healing, restful color which portrays the dormant activity of the beauty of birch trees during the winter rejuvenation.

Pelican Bay is an inspiration from my heart and soul. I lived on my 36' Columbia all alone for many years and sailed into Mexico from San Diego. I now live on the Central Coast of California where Pelican's flock. The warm, welcome, glorious, feelings of the moon at sunset, old boats, and small harbors thrill all my senses. My hope is that viewers of this painting also experience the warm fuzzies that accompany nostalgic beauty. |
