Karen has chosen
watercolors as her favorite medium of expression because of their soft beauty
and depth. Vibrant florals, animal life, and luscious fruits and vegetables are
Karen's favorite subjects. She has worked in a variety of art media such as ceramics,
handmade dichroic glass beads and oils. A native of Evansville, Indiana,
she spent many happy summers on her grandfather's dairy farm in northern Kentucky.
Bright spring colors, verdant hillsides, and brilliant red, orange and yellow
fall leaves are special memories and have inspired Karen's artwork. Karen
continues her study of art by attending college classes and workshops given by
well-known artists. Her paintings have been exhibited at galleries and
wineries throughout the California Central Coast and in private collections.
She is a member of the El Camino Art Association, the San Luis Obispo Art
Center and the Artists Guild of Santa Ynez Valley. [contact] |
