ARTS Obispo's 11th Annual Open Studios Art Tour

1st Weekend of the Tour- October 10 & 11, South County
2nd Weekend of the Tour - October 17 & 18, North County
Encore Weekend - October 24&25, throughout SLO County

Local artists, Fred Ventura and Brian Claverie will show ceramic sculpture, vessels, and vases along with acrylic and watercolor paintings at Ventura's Arroyo Grande home studio as part of ARTS Obispo's 11th Annual Open Studio Art Tour. The studio will be open from 10am - 5pm, October 10th & 11th, and also for the Encore Weekend (Oct 24 & 25). Both artists will demonstrate wheel throwing and painting techniques and also display and sell their work. For more information call (805) 709-2281.

Pretty-Smith Vineyards & Winery is pleased to announce that the work of local artist, Fred Ventura, will be on display in the tasting room and in the winery's event center, the Pretty Café, from September 4th to December 27th. Visitors to the winery will have the opportunity to see first hand how Fred Ventura likes to use vibrant contrasting colors and defines his images with bold strokes while also incorporating precise detail.

On a few special occasions, Fred Ventura will be available at the winery to talk about his work:

Saturday, September 26th 6:00-8:00: Artist reception and Pretty-Smith Wine Circle pick-up party. The reception will include live music by Rolf Gehrung, a wine & food tasting catered by Matthew's and a sneak preview of some new Pretty-Smith releases.

Friday, October 16th 6:00-9:00. $48/club;$60/non-club. The Pretty Alluring Harvest Dinner. Pretty-Smith teamed up with the folks from Allure Estates to create a fun, tasty harvest dinner. The menu will feature Pretty-Smith wines and recipes made with Allure's estate grown olive oils and vinegars with a harvest theme. [ Complete Menu ]

Saturday, December 5th 12:00-3:00 FREE. Annual Holiday Open house with holiday music, tasty treats, great gift ideas and a special 3 hour sale only available in the tasting room. December is a wonderful time to treat someone special to a work of art.
