Moving to the Central Coast in October 2004 propelled me into photography. I did some experimenting in Bakersfield, where I am originally from, and realized that photography was something I could put my passion and love for the beauty of nature into. I tend to look for the over exaggeration in nature, the spectacular side of what nature produces. I am a freelance photographer with no formal photographic training, I am completely self taught. Everything I've learned has been by reading, studying other photographers work, and by making my own mistakes. I like to think I learn the way nature does.....through trial and error.
I use many instruments in my photographic process. Including several different cameras, film and digital. Along with my equipment I do use digital inhancement to bring forth the emotion and detail I see when I capture the image. |
